Custom Made Kitchens Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to www.customkitchens.co.uk and users of our trade portal. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What We Collect

Contact form enquiries

When you submit the contact form on our website we collect your name, email address, phone number, postcode, project type and message. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in responding to prospective customer enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR).

Trade portal accounts

If you register for our trade portal we collect your name, company name, email address and a password (stored in hashed form). We use this data to manage your account and process quotation requests. The legal basis is performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR).

Server logs

Our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited and timestamps. These are used for security monitoring and to diagnose technical issues. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in maintaining a secure service (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR).

Cookies

We use only essential cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation of our website:

  • Authentication cookie — a session token used to keep trade portal users logged in. This is an essential cookie that does not require consent.
  • Cookie preference — records whether you have accepted or declined our cookie notice.

We do not use any advertising, analytics or third-party tracking cookies.

How We Share Your Data

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data may be processed by:

  • Vercel Inc. — our hosting provider (servers in the EU/UK).
  • Resend — our email delivery service, used to send enquiry confirmations and order notifications.
  • Supabase — our database hosting provider (EU servers).

Data Retention

Contact form enquiries are retained for up to 24 months. Trade portal account data is retained for the duration of your account plus 12 months after closure. Server logs are retained for up to 30 days.

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict processing
  • Data portability
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk
